First Tradigital Art Studio class of 2021 & it was great to be back with the gang!

Loads of issues with the internet but we still looked at & tried some fun things 🥳

I hope the detail views convey some of the turbulence, but also some of what I love about brush and ink.

For me it is mostly the Asian tradition/contemporary practice with it that resonates but I do also love Western illustration from the first half of the 20th century,.../3

Drawing is so crucial to what I do, to get inside a subject, an idea, a feeling.

Ink on paper has deep roots in my personal and artistic history, so it is especially powerful for me.
