Aria, Rathen's 8-year-old daughter. Rathen would do anything for her, and she, in turn, for him, ill-advised as they may both be. She comes to everyone's rescue in her own insightful little ways, and loathes being protected. But she's 8, so, for now, she has no say in the matter.

Rathen Koraaz is a tormented man. Banished for something well beyond his control, and yet for which the blame can fall to no one else, the warmage is bitter, and views authority with disdain. Only Aria has tamed him to any degree.

Made another revision. Hopefully it looks more gold and metallic now?
I probably won't bother trying again. There's a point at which I should just stop, move on, and MAYBE revise the cover as a whole for a future re-release when I have more experience, if it's ever appropriate.
