only just found out abt the existence of the 1996 doom comic & why is doomguy actually the funniest character alive

i will come clean & say that i REALLY wasnt keen on modelling/rendering all his bags & equipment & such that his soldier model has, so i tried to keep him in the same sort of style i rendered benrey's vest in to tie them together a bit, but with his own unique details

as i mentioned earlier in coomer's section, his original colour scheme ended up working much better for forzen, so in a way they're kind of unintentionally linked by having opposing colour schemes (although i did try to keep forzen more unique by giving him more accessories)

wolf ended up working better for this stupid fuckin mitchell shepard design i did anyway so FHKJDHFJDHFKS

gman's canon eye colour DOES glow in a more blueish tone than his regular colour so theres that at least lmfao

chicken actually ended up being a pretty good choice anyway bc then i could do a lot of accent colour stuff through his feathers & such. its probably bc im biased 2wards warm tones but his colour scheme might be my fav out of everyone tbh. lov me sum orange

basically going from that, red + blue = purple. purple also famously being the colour that's most associated with magic & such since its the most infrequently occurring colour in nature, & id say that also fits benrey pretty well as an unnatural character, yeah? colour theory!!

tbh my main concept around tommy was to have him be as round & cuddly as possible so that he can then be a contrast to gman who is more pointy & foreboding, which we will talk abt later

also bc listen. he is 36 but he is also Baby. the range of this man

TOMMY - not only was he the one i designed first, tommy's the only one i never had any doubts on what his designated animal would be, mainly b/c
1. my personal hc for him in general is that he is Very Small
2. his voice just fits a squirrel character? makes me think of rocky fsr
