Even if they're already close, he still asked Daon for permission to hug. He still respects his personal space. And even if Daon is sick, he also didn't take advantage of that. He said that kissing should only be done when your mind is clear. Sunghyeon is a true gentleman.

Sunghyeon knew that Daon was brokenhearted because he was rejected by Jaemin. Despite that, Sunghyeon didn't take advantage of Daon's vulnerability to force his own feelings. He confessed but he didn't ask him out immediately. They can take time and date whenever Daon is ready.

But then, Sunghyeon doesn't know that. When he first heard Soohyun's name, he saw Daon shaking and he wants to protect the person he loves so when that Soohyun called, he talked back to him.

Daon wanted to talk to him so even tho he was still hurt, he agreed but the first thing he noticed is Daon's wounds. That happened because he triggered Soohyun (about the phone call) which led Daon to cut off his relationship with him.

It hurt Sunghyeon so much. First, he thought that it was him who Daon wanted to kiss. Second, he thought Daon likes Soohyun. But then third, he called out yet another name.

Looking at Daon, Sunghyeon was tempted to kiss but stopped himself because it was wrong so he took a bath to cool off. But Daon told him to continue because he wants it. While Daon and Sunghyeon were kissing, Daon confessed and called out Jaemin's name.

Thanks to a party, they were able to interact again. Daon got drunk so Sunghyeon had to bring him home. And while Daon was unconscious, Soohyun called. Sunghyeon answered it. He remembered that he was the one that made Daon tremble so he told Soohyun to leave Daon alone.

Daon started to avoid Sunghyeon without Sunghyeon knowing why.

And he wants to help Daon in every way possible. He takes over Daon's work despite having overtime (he despised overtime). He wants to do everything for Daon.

Sunghyeon just notices even the little things about Daon, when he cried, when he's not feeling well, when he's faking his smile.
