Johann Georg Wirsung (1589-1643). Born in Bavaria. Anatomist in Italy. The main pancreatic duct is commonly called the the duct of Wirsung. He was murdered in an argument over who discovered the duct. @uncmed2021 #histmed #anatomy #MedEd @AskAnatomist @anatomyfound @AACAnatomy
