Since then I have explored a few ways to play with the design and tried to create actual characters for this "species".

It took some years until I drew this character again and it became one of my first digital drawings.

You can achieve some astounding results especially with subtle movement.

Animated/lip-synced character icons come to mind.

Wanted to try out some compositing with a VHS effect.
