back up to date with these dudes finally

i've been making sprites of mario characters instead of doing schoolwork! here's all of them so far!

this is the reason i didn't post joker when i finished him. i was respriting some of the other dudes to look less... dopey. these aren't even a fourth of the ones that i redid, but they're some of the most drastic. the rest will hopefully come shortly

hey fun fact: i animated some of those old mega man-ish smash sprites that i made a while ago! first up is donkey kong, whose animation is (loosely) based on how he enters certain levels in the dkcr games

ONE more thing before i shut up for the night. in my procrastination i figured out the order i plan on tackling the smash characters once i have time to draw them all again. joker goes between ridley and corrin. this is all tentative and not as random as advertised but it's there

UPDATE: it seems we have our answers! hootie the blue fish from smw2 is known in japanese as propeller piranha, so that's almost certainly what that one is. as for proto piranha, it's most likely the polluted piranhas from sunshine, for two reasons:
