Basara is arguably Tamura’s most renowned work & may very well be her 1 lasting legacy. But as Tamura stated, there wouldn’t hv been a Basara—it’s story, characters, publishing—were it not for the trials & success of its predecessor, Tomoe ga Yuku!. Time to give it more ♡.
Speaking of Basara inspiring others, I recently learned that kaori “kojiroh” sanada, a character from the fighting game series, Last Blade, was inspired by or modeled after Sarasa. They both impersonate their brothers.
