During this time, Seth does not seem to point his finger at the caravans, he still takes full responsibility for their actions, telling Horus that these people are dying because they worshipped him and worked under HIS shadow.

Shortly after Horus' arrival Seth asks him about his past, he grew up hiding from the caravans among other humans during Seth's reign, so Seth wanted to know what kind of fate they wished for him but Horus said it is not his place to speak for them, his experience was different.

He was trapped inside his own mind living the memories of his victims while not being very aware of what was going on in the outside world. During this time he was also facing harsh criticism from the souls of his victims until eventually Horus finally arrives to save him.

But Kuentamen is surprised to hear those words come out of their god's mouth, because the god who is now lecturing them about "morality" is the same god who set opposing examples. He then proceeds to point out the hypocrisy in Seth's words claiming they did it all for him.

Which becomes clear when Seth spends time with them and gets to closely inspect their behavior. He is shocked to the core by what he witnesses and yells at their leader accusing his followers of committing terrible sins such as violating the corpses of the dead.

Disrespecting the dead and tampering with their souls like that is a serious taboo in Ancient Egyptian religion, and Ennead empathizes this a lot throughout the story. Even Osiris lectures Seth about this despite having done the same thing himself multiple times.

The victims of the caravans were forcibly taken from their homes, tortured and eventually slaughtered as a sacrifice to Seth. Seth was then harvesting their souls to craft his cursed weapon, denying these poor souls their eternal resting place.

This is my favorite panel from the latest English chapter. Seth has been sneaking out at nights to fight off the caravans that are attacking Isis' temple, and not because he is looking for trouble but because he truly feels directly responsible for them. (1/?)
