#Doggust day 29: the Cesky terrier! I wanted to make this one as simple as possible. The Cesky is considered a rare breed and was bred for hunting by a Czech breeder. It descended from the Scottish Terrier and Sealyham Terrier.

#Doggust day 28: the Cirneco dell'Etna! This hunting breed originates from Sicily, Italy, where it was bred to hunt mainly rabbits. It relies on its eyesight first to spot prey, but it also has a strong nose for tracking. It is a friendly, playful breed, and eager to please!

#Doggust day 27: the Alaskan klee kai!
Guys, this is the one breed I've been most excited for. My favourite breed 🥺❤️ I'm so excited to have my own someday.
The Alaskan klee kai is a small spitz type dog that was developed by Linda Spurlin in the 70s to be a companion breed.

#Doggust day 22: Cavalier king Charles spaniel. The Cavalier is a gentle and sweet dog that gets along well with children and other animals. They are active and playful lapdogs that are adaptable and highly affectionate.

#Doggust day 21: the Estrela mountain dog! Originating from the mountains of Estrela, Portugal, this dog was bred for guarding flocks. It comes in a long coat and short coat variety, and is an excellent watchdog and guard dog.

#Doggust day 15: ths shikoku!
As one of the six native Japanese breeds, it is smaller than the akita inu and larger than the shiba inu. Originating from Shikoku island, they were originally bred to hunt wild boar.

#Doggust day 12: the Karelian bear dog! These fierce dogs from Finland are able to hunt large mammals like moose and bears. They corner their prey by barking and nipping. They are used to reduce human-bear conflicts all around the world!

Day 10 of #Doggust brings us the xoloitzcuintle, also known as the Mexican hairless dog! Like the Yakutian laika of yesterday this is an ancient breed. They come with a coated variety and a hairless variety, and three sizes: standard, miniature and toy.

#Doggust day 7, the Dandie Dinmont terrier. These are such funny looking little guys! I drew one with the show cut, and had no clue how the ears worked from photos alone. I only figured out after watching a video of a groomer, that they are tufts of fluff 😂

Day 5 of #doggust2022 brings us the McNab! This herding breed from California is highly intelligent and excels at livestock herding and dog sports.
