In just over a year, I've learned a ton since I originally made this commission for @FayeEcklar - I decided to re-do it because I'd never been quite satisfied with the original, and wound up making a full backdrop because I couldn't decide on a simple one!
@seaboundsailor_ I do a lot of work with fantasy and paleoart, uploads have been slow lately but I've got a few projects in the pipeline
Standard Renders are most often character-focused, with more details than sketched pieces, multiple sessions of work, and the option for planned, carefully-executed backgrounds for a little extra.
One-Hour Sketches can be expected to look about like the following - after a quick consultation to establish expectations, I'll get your finished work to you ASAP. An underlying sketch provides structure for linework, and coloring/shading is done off the cuff.
I've been mostly working on pieces that are slow to finish, both because of the pieces themselves and because of my own headspace this past month or so, so have a gnome wizard's flat colors, now with a braided belt of gayness.
Lots of people in the comments of this piece are wanting vulturine dromaeosaurs, so I thought I'd mock up a few. Originally wanted to do two Old World and two New World, but truthfully, most variation in NW vultures is not in the feathers, but in other soft tissue ornaments. https://t.co/vGK1gNbeSj
New #DungeonsAndDragons themed piece, a Fey'ri duelist. In the setting for the campaign I'll be running soon, the Fey'ri have a long history battling extraplanar threats with and without the knowledge of the other Sun Elves.
While I finish up these paleoart revisions, I'm thrilled to show you a fantasy character piece I finished last night - my take on a Wispling, planetouched Halflings who know how to party!
