I should also mention that our editor @peachchild was a huge influence on making this story happen, and really helped refine the concept during the pitch stage. I'm very lucky to have worked with her. If you are happy to see the Corsair on page again, she's who you have to thank.

Though Meerou Woodring only appeared in a deep background image, @NickBrokenshire still created a detailed character design for her. He shared it earlier, but it's a share absolutely worth repeating...

The Orooturooian species first appeared in a 1995 comic called "The Hunger of Princess Nampi", by comics creators Jim Woodring (hence the name of Meerou Woodring) and Art Wetherell.

And of course, there is a talking cat. Because talking cats are awesome.

Here's a bit more from Pepper Page Saves the Universe: Pepper faces the Overlords of Order, cosmic beings that are determined that Pepper is actually Supernova - the comic character she has been reading about her entire life.

Is she though?

For those who don't know: Pepper Page lives in the distant future. She's a hardcore comics reader and fan of the character "Supernova"

Science experiments go wonky. Time travel is involved. There's a talking cat named Mister McKittens. Boom. Superhero stuff happens.
