Same concept, 5 years apart.

For the 1st, I was a teen and didn't know anything about color theory, form modeling, or composition. The 2nd was a milestone - I was serious about being an artist, stuff started to click. My hard work paid off.

My favorite thing about being an artist is this: I will never be the best I can be, because when I paint & draw I show pieces of myself. I will always learn new things, new skills, new visions. As long as I keep growing, my work will grow alongside me.

I was cut off from my personal work for so long; going back is strange. I pull up old WIPs and just... consider them. Remembering what I was trying to do, figuring out how to move forward, fussing with things. Then I try to paint again...

@corvidresearch I love including corvids in my artwork. Detail of an old painting featuring hooded crows (possibly my favorite crow) and a more recent drawing I did inside a book I illustrated.

Realizing I never really shared the finished versions of the tarot cards I did back in August for @Wyrmwood Corrupted Tarot. Why am I so bad at social media??

Anyway. Nine of Pentacle, Eight of Cups! I had so much fun doing these.
