Jealousy because Shiro became Haggar's new asset? Jealousy because Shiro and Keith remind him of his friendship with Zarkon? Does Shiro make him question his purpose as a Galra soldier and moral integrity? Sendak's rage is unfounded.

It also makes this moment fall short. When Keith follows Shiro onto the clone moon, we see this door. Had we seen Sendak's clone facility, it could've easily misled us into thinking Shiro had guided Keith into a Sendak pit of death.

That right there was Shiro's story. That's what we're supposed to delve into with him, and while the writers tried, it's sorely lacking. It's reduced to nuance and leaves gaping plot holes. Where did they find Sendak? A clone facility, duh.

As early as S1 we were given context clues surrounding Sendak and Shiro's antagonistic relationship. It's mentioned they're connected through the Galra Empire. Sendak knows Shiro is a weapon. These two are paired off and evoke an emotional charge right from the get-go.
