A zoom in reveals ivy/crawlers on the Village houses as by then they had been there 60 odd years.

Hard to imagine that these houses are nearly 200 yrs old now.

@JanesKintbury Think Ravilous train paintings are fairly basic,more about thr views.

I have always liked this one called Traveling Companions (1862 by Augustus Egg) and really good is Compartment,C Car 1938 (USA Edward Hopper)
