Today is the six year anniversary of the release of HEADLANDER. I've always loved the charming paranoid take on technology in 70's science fiction (esp. film), but it feels just a touch more relevant in 2022 as more ai begins to take the stage.

Been using crops from my own art and minimal text prompting to generate imagery with stronger graphic shapes.

Impossible to improve on Dio's Holy Diver original cover art, but when I feed "ride the tiger, you can see his stripes but you know he's clean, holy diver, heavy metal album cover art" I get some pretty rad stuff.

Monday morning self-portrait made by asking @midjourney to combine and remix my own self portraits.

Self-portrait made by feeding several other self portraits I painted into @midjourney . I didn't use any other artists in the prompts and its neat to see that somehow some resemblance survived the process.

Using some of the art I made for Headlander as a prompt, I collaborated with the ai to make more stations and ships. @midjourney
