Monty, the lovely chocolate coloured Labrador, who inspired me to write “Monty’s Blackbird” left us today. Goodbye old friend, you’ll always be with us, listening to the blackbird’s song.

@hart_stevens @debmarson @TheVintageYear I immortalised the tale in my first book of children’s stories. The illustration is by @CaroleChvlr from the story, “A Duck for Dinner” in ‘Tales from the Woodpecker Tree’. Sadly we lost our wonderful Jojo last year.
