Some OCs, some may be revenants

Revenants are unpredictable, both in behaviour and shape, but one thing is certain, they are tough to kill, but fear not, detaching their heads from the torso should be enough, most of the time at least...

One may only wonder what kind of history of Convergence and Adaptation a revenant went through to appear as it is, but one thing they all share-purpleish blood, sharp teeth and peculiar skull markings.

The sons of the soil have impressive healing capabilities, but not only that, regenerated limbs and structures will result mutated, some mutations will be more successful than others, making the revenant evolve as an individual. This process is known as Adaptation.

Converge is the process that makes the revenant's body look more and more human, from the bone and muscle structure to skin and hair, ultimately it will increase brain power and give eyes to the creature. It is not always reliable, insanity runs among the undead.

Revenants are subjected to two phenomena during their lives, Adaptation and Convergence, these two processes influence the shapes of the undead in misterious ways.
