ROOTS. First in a series of 5 illos about where we come from and where we're going in the relationships we form & break, told through some key moments in the life of a tree. The starting point for this was a line from the Faithless song No Roots:

It looks like the operation was a success!! 🔪🍊💦✨🙏 Very very relieved. Thank you guys for thinking of her 💗 And to the amazing surgeons for 6.5 hours of being the real MVP here. On to hopefully a speedy recovery!!

Tomorrow I will be starting a residency program in illustration & visual storytelling at SVA. Tomorrow is also the day a very dear friend at home will be going into surgery to remove a tumor the size of a grapefruit. Tried to channel all the luck in the universe into this illo 🍀
