Illustrating a couple of very lyrical picture book texts lately (writing some too!) and absolutely loving it. Feel free to send me more of those, publishing gods, especially those ones that are all sadness, hope & joy wrapped up in a big ball of expressive art. I'm here for it✨

My 7 year-old rocked up this morning with a bundle of sketches (below) & a request to help her make a picture of her imagined character. She is called Irina, she wears odd red and yellow boots, a wool felted patchwork rainbow coat, she lives under a rainbow and she grows flowers.
