I’m always learning the hard way that part of community is allowing yourself to be helped as much as giving out the help. Then you look to the skies and see the birds flying in formations, murmurations, majestic interdependence that is absent of shame. They just know, don’t they?

Just had a cheese & jam sandwich because my granny, whose house I lived in as much as my own, use to give me one with a really milky wee cup of tea. She’s still here but her mind has been away for a while now and she lives 200 miles north- quietly missing her on all the levels.🍞
