As a kid I didn't notice the artist changes. (or read the credits at all really). They were in the same costumes, looked the same to me.
Not an X-23 fan, but she was probably the most successful new Marvel character since Deadpool.
Why they would regress her to be "Wolverine" when she already had her own identity I have no idea. Being a derivative character was already her weakness, this just exaggerates it.
