Sunflowers and chrysanthemums are both associated with the autumn and late summer--which is fitting, since Hikari herself was born in late summer. Yellow chrysanthemums, and even the color yellow itself, have mixed meanings, depending on who you would ask.
Roses and Ivy: both very aesthetically pleasing, but meddlesome plants that tend to coil and twine and snag onto others.
