@W_S_Walcott Then when I decided to try my hand at making kids' books, I needed to pander to my kid, who was into mermaids at the time, and I wanted to pander to myself, in case I ended up reading the book a lot, so I grabbed Jump off the shelf.

@W_S_Walcott He started out as Spaz McDragon. He was supposed to be a parody of Sonic/Edgy 90s animal mascots for game mascot ensemble. Then, a couple years later, I thought, "has Jump the Shark been taken?" I did some googling, and holy shit, nobody beat me to "Jump the Shark."

A decade later, and without consulting me, the Fire Emblem guys invented a shapeshifter named Corinn in silver armor with a sword.
