I started to look back on things that inspired me throughout the years, I finally knew what I wanted to do. Something more than a simple comic strip of a dog with bad drinking habits (6/?)
Then I drew these, I knew I was on to something, but something was still really off. So I started drawing more of this art style, just to test the waters for its potential. (4/?)
He was a drunken cartoon dog that was a hobo, he used to be famous and is now a wreck. Something about that didn’t sit right with me (not the drunk hobo part, it’s funny) it sounded stale, at that time I wanted to do little revisions for what I wanted to do (3/?$)
Then I kept drawing him, then I started having fun while doing so. I drew him a few friends, I met new people, and started doing some world building. But something still wasn’t right with him (2/?)
A while back, I made this. A drawing of a cartoon dog running from an ink monster (very original, definitely not done before) during that time I thought nothing of it. His name was literally gooford at one point, I was not thinking about what I could do with him at that time.(1/?
Here are the ref sheets I made for my web comic, they’re pretty simple and straight forward ( thank you @CTalt1 for giving me scamper)
