She was brought into her father's cousin's tiny mercenary company and she grew up having that as a very weird, very loving family. I guess the closest thing she had to a mother was the leader, an elderly alfiq lady who played tough but deep down was really caring. (3/5)

But she eventually got caught, and was executed for it, Lae being forced to watch it happen. Lae was very very young and barely has any other memories of her mother. Her adoptive father eventually came across the village she was in, and "rescued" her from that shitshow. (2/5)
