As I pore over the messages about dearest #ShirleyHughes serious digging has commenced in the road outside. The house is vibrating. I am taken straight back into her wonderful story The Big Concrete Lorry.

2/2 Whilst she is best known for Alfie, Dogger, Lucy & Tom and Out and About I’m taking a moment to enjoy these most favourite #ShirleyHughes. I adored Shirley and am so glad to champion her work.
