'Pied Wagtail (Cardinal)'. I always see these little guys in car parks! Apparently, they can find dead insects easier this way, stuck to the tarmac/your front car tyres. Tasty! The wagging in birds tails is a signal to others in the group, as a dominance display or to predators.

I've been thinking about my visualisations of birdsong coupled with instinctive mark making onto birds photography. The colours I select either match or contrast its plumage, the shapes cushion/surround the bird protecting it from the white of the paper. I love working this way❤

The Swithland Wood Recordings was a collaboration with @tablarishii @RoopaPanesar to produce a vinyl of beautiful Indian classical music in response to birdsong from Swithland Wood. 10 vinyls were pressed and exhibited @LeicesterPrint @lcbdepot There's still 3 left, £70 each.

Bank holiday trip to @yspsculpture with @mc_findlay our fav sculptures were by @DamienHirst #davidsmith and artwork in the chapel by #kimsooja with her mirrored floor and rainbow reflection walls and #RuthEwan to explore child development and creativity. Go check it out!
