Also got a soft spot for the OVA designs if only because they strike a good cross between the classic and modern designs, even though the Modern Sonic era did not exist yet when this was made.

I love Toei and Hesse's Sonic. They're simple, they're radical... this is a little guy you can trust to step up and wreck the bad guy. And then chillax with afterwards. This is the Sonic I know and grew up with.
