Perhaps not coincidentally, Sonic 3D: Flickies' Island also has a penguin-themed enemy named “Pengo”, exclusive to this game.

I appreciate how its Genesis remake Pepenga Pengo (1995) gives a spin at Sonic 3D (1996) vibes before the latter was a thing.

The aesthetics in the opening cutscene of this SEGA-released arcade game, Pengo (1982), are unbelievable. Smartphone wallpaper material.
