Their childhood?
It sucked, but look how cute he was? Anyway, he was a church kid, then got conscripted into the Badra military at 100, got removed after one mission because his commander saw 'the longing look he gave the stars' and worried he would betray Badra for the surface.

Talents?
It doesn't come up often, but Xarann is a good singer! He was in church choir for most of his early childhood and nat 20'd one performance check, so IT IS SO. He only knows one folk song and a handful of weird Lolth hymns he'll never sign again tho.
