Boat ride at Periyar National Park, also known as Periyar Tiger Reserve. This wildlife sanctuary is home to tigers, elephant population, lion-tailed macaques, sambar deer, leopards and Indian bison. Park's north, Periyar Lake is popular for boat rides. 1/2

One of the oldest residential neighbourhood, Kasba Peth has character of its own. Narrow lanes surrounded by vibrant houses with old doors and rustic pillars. Taking a walk in these lanes and gazing at these ancient wada-structured houses instantly transports you to a 1/3

getting trained. Also famous for an encounter between Raje and Shaista Khan where Chhatrapati cut off the latter's fingers when he was trying to escape from the window.

Sarasbaug at the foothills of Parvati used to be a lake... Stands at center is Ganesh temple called 'Talyatla Ganpati'. The temple and the surrounding renovated several times in the last 2 centuries. The historical significance of the place and the local flavor added 1/3

The structure engulfed by large banyan tree over the course of several years... maybe centuries, it is seamless combination of natural beauty and serene spiritualism. Can't tell if the structure hold the tree or the tree holds the structure.
