12. POKÉMON LGPE
One of the black sheep of the series but the OFFICIAL ART OF THIS GAME.....!!!! some of the best I've ever seen! The poses are fresh and dynamic and expressive and amazing! This is so hard to pull off...! Also my go-to background references for nature

11. F*Kaori
Excellent illustrator and graphic designer, her work is beyond inspiring!!! Her use of shapes and colors is just so good and she's amazing at adapting her style to the job, meaning her stuff looks great in anything from keychains to restaurant menus to literal walls

9. 竹 (TAKE-sensei)
Character designer and illustrator for games like Pokémon and World's End Club. Just overall fantastic designs, a great style with a rly clean use of shapes and some BANGER ANATOMY like look at these poses???? Their line and shape economy is out of this world

4. Can't mention Izumi Todo without mentioning the legend himself UMAKOSHI YOSHIHIKO-sensei. This man taught me how to own a character design when we draw it, what an art style even MEANS. His technique goes incredibly hard and I bet he draws so fast because he just KNOWS SO MUCH

3. Izumi Todo
This collective's work was MY CHILDHOOD and idk what even needs to be said lmao their cartoon influences, especially on the characters' body language is everything I ever hope to achieve with my silly little career

2. ORESAMA
Both their music and their graphic work (god bless utomaru-sensei) are what one would describe as MARI'S CUP OF TEA
Def give their music a chance, they're a pop group with this neo retro wave, very funky and groovy
