This is also September’s postcard for the Merry Blackbird Postcard Society! 💌✨
It’s a feature of these La Vie Parisienne works too. I think what tickles me is that in “clash of eras” we default to comparing history with the modern day, but isn’t there just something peachy about imagining a lost medieval time traveler getting taken in by a suffragette??
I’m frustrated and baffled that the Georges Léonnec “Centaur Kiss” image has two different versions. Compare the bouquet, the stitching/pants details, the fur marks, the flying hat. I suspect left is the original — so where did right come from???
At the A&tD hub I talked about this absolutely sweet boy, my beef with love triangles/writing a polyamorous vee for A&tD, and billing a girl who loves a trans boy and a non-binary person as a Bisexual Heroine. ✨

At the A&tD hub I talk about allies found in the monster’s own home, redemption arcs that make characters boring, the trouble of the non-binary shapeshifter trope, and Yarrow’s ve/vim/vis neopronouns.

🍎🧺🌾 May’s postcard celebrates my upcoming birthday month by paying homage to the great sapphic romance of my childhood literature: Anne Shirley & her Diana Barry.
🏳️⚧️🌞⭐️🌛🏳️⚧️Happy #TransDayOfVisibility! Every single person in these illustrations is trans!!
🌿🐐✨ It’s been One Year! Throwback to the postcard of the month for March of 2021!
