...though curiously, although caricature is often like a parable, exaggerating to reveal the inner & deeper truth, in Gove's case straight portraiture ends up as more tellingly grotesque, as these images by @DrPaulKleiman & @ColinDukelow attest...
Which leaves us with the portraits, the caricatures and the surrealism. As I said, capturing whatever Gove has instead of a soul in his face is actually quite hard. @Cunningsplan, @JasonNParkinson & @caRICKaturist have all done stirling work...
I also loved this from @Russel_Herneman - a good, proper, beautifully wrought satirical trope, and funny too; likewise, @NiciGregory's Quentin Blake-ish Gove made me laugh, as did @StuDrawings' entry, which almost makes Gove look cute. @iancartoons' one doesn't though
On the same theme - as this is Fun for All The Family - here's this lovely thing from the unnamed 8 year old in @k8tielou78's life; @nickymonkey's vision of Gove as forensic evidence; @davidsjanes's Naked Mole Rat Govehead & @MagwitchC's Govid virus (dead topical!)

Here's latest illo for @Kevin_Maguire's @DailyMirror column https://t.co/xMC4f9OeCr & here too
Ok space cats, the #DrawChallenge machine is grinding slowly into action. Later on you'll be able to see all the entrants on a YouTube video I'll be lonking to, and judgement will follow. No pants this time, but instead Gove Masks, cut from these!! Scare those kiddies shitless!
...at the end of the day @kevinwellsart's portrayal of Desmond Swayne is even better, so he's the winner. Well done! I'll chuck a copy of my latest book in which the y-front facemask. DM me your address! That's all folks
So really it's down to these, all of which are practically perfect. This one, from @JaseToons, our initial #DrawMattHancock winner @nuffinc's entry & persistent entrant @t_colgate's contribution are all so good it's taken me a week to decide that, actually...
