I do wonder if I would have gotten into this if I hadn't seen the anime, since the start of it isn't drawn that well, even if the vision is there. The series is perhaps the most strongly thematic work from the last decade, but Isayama had to grow into it.
The colouring is done! 🥳 Nothing quite beats the feeling of coming up with a colour scheme on the fly (and with coloured inks, there’s no going back 🫢)
I used Rohrer-Klinger coloured inks and white Nicker Poster Color for some corrections and highlights.
@jacobpdf Taking back some of my thoughts, the splash pages are pretty cool since they focus more on the mood. I guess tankōbon covers just have a theme of stillness and many characters in setting. That is harder to compose in an exciting way.
