I also make random things that have no place at all. I don’t do anything consistent with any of this. Added thread images to show how all over place I am. I’ve applied to some stuff (shows, residencies, mentorships), haven’t gotten any of them. All over the place & nowhere.

Besides deep internal exhaustion from parenting, I mean I love them and choose them but it's emotional exhaustion, I keep making work in the crevices of time I have.

That was after I applied to 2 diff shows that seemed to be (to me) *exactly* what my most recent paintings were about. I've gotten great feedback about the painting... But no exhibitions. It's the curators discretion, it's not a broad judgment on my work, blah blah blah.

The hardest hit was this teaching fellowship that felt like a perfect fit, at an established non-profit in SF, I wanted to be present in the studios, meet ppl IRL, believing that was the missing link. I was willing to stretch my sched for it.

And also, I just now see that @sallycatPDA has an acct, I shoulda tagged her earlier– and @PDASociety too– both are resources that have helped my fam so much in the past 5 months since our lightbulb moment

Acrylic #painting on panel #workinprogress I've been playing around w/ carving the surface, not that I've done much here yet. I like the atmospheric watery thing happening & the hard edge too. I need more from this painting... not sure what direction I'll take w/this, tho.
