Just wrapped up reading The Memory Police by Yõko Ogawa today and and the same time this illustration.
Great book. Light sci-fi Orwellian dystopia — super readable. 👌🏻

Having fun playing with @ioramastudio's Looom app on the iPad this week. Great fun and super intuitive UX!
20 — Tread
As the dust is settling I tried to get my bearings.
I need to get out of here. There sounds like an army of those things out there. I don’t know where she has gone either. Did she see me?
I stumble. I need to tread more carefully.

17 — Ornament
The sphere I found, adorns the highest peak I’ve ever laid eyes on. As if precariously placed by some giant. It’s glowing and I can feel that piercing sound. I pull the other out of the bag. It’s seems like my hunch was right. It’s more than just an ornament.
16 — Wild
The whole forest is wild and moving.
I look up to see spiny vines wrapping around trees, slithering against the rough bark.
They all seem to be moving in unison. One common goal.

13 — Ash
I can hear the water rushing now. My hunch was right. The moment I got closer to the river I found life.
At least the signs of life. The ash and embers still hot and glowing. I heard something in the distance. Something moved.

11 — Snow
Now snow has began to fall. This is the last thing I needed.
I’ve found a water source and I’m going to follow upstream. If there is anything I have learned from all the pioneers journals before me is that life always blossoms around water.
