So, this is how popular Legend of the Galactic Heroes is. An anime adaptation, a stage play, a remake, and a remake of the stage play. 😂

So, I have this co-worker who is a Dragonball fanboy, and he decided to make a comment about how he thinks no other anime heroes could take on the opponents Goku has.

My only response to his challenge of naming one was "How can they win if they're already dead?"

It's interesting when I think about it, but the difference between the execution between the two remakes is that SBY2199 expands the scope of the story by giving supporting characters their own time to shine, while LGHT DNT keeps the spotlight on only a few characters.

A moment where YouTubers would claim that Space Battleship Yamato 2199 is "woke" is over changing the gender of a barely there character. Overall not a bad character, but the love triangle subplot was definitely something that didn't work.
