Armadillo Trickster, created through a Reckless Deck card draw.
I've been testing these randomized prompts to potentially use in a character design class I'll be teaching this summer... more on that THIS WEEK!
@nlcast I've done my share of portraits, and I've even done a t-shirt design full of podcast memes! I'd totally be down to work on a TSS shirt.
I was recently commissioned to draw some maps for the Red City: Demiplane of Dread campaign setting (thanks, @TheHealerDM!) This is my map of the setting's primary city: Krasnygorod.
Always fun to flex the fantasy cartography muscle. Hit me up if you need any maps!
20. Alex Ross. I don't think I'll ever go for this level of realism, but his work opened my eyes to ways comics can remain dynamic while also remaining grounded in reality.
19. Matt Rhodes. I feel like I learn something every time I look at his work, from character design to storytelling to just sketching discipline.
18. Frank Frazetta. Being a fantasy artist makes influence from this guy inevitable.
17. Fiona Staples is a fantastic comic artist, but it's her brilliant and creative character designs I've tried to learn from most.
