Blender by itself took me years to figure out, but with there being so many darn tutorials it's a crime NOT to pick up.

I've always been terrified of making backgrounds, I was too monkey-brained to follow perspective tutorials and I never knew how to do set-dressing, so if you're in the same situation I was in, please give Blender a shot.
I don't wanna call myself a legit character designer, I just like making cute OCs. I have learned a crap ton of things while working on this though, and I don't think I would've learned them if I didn't try and make something big-ish I could call my own.
the uniforms used to be very adventure time-ish, but it'd be too hard to work with when more differently colored and shaped characters were introduced, so I leaned closer to a black uniform like the owl house. a danish advent calender has also been a mild inspiration for the hats
it's no secret that I've been working on a magic universe for awhile now. it all started with a fun redesign of a slime witch and it just kept going from there
tried to draw the same character for almost everyday in 1 week, Maeja, not just because I love the character, but to see how many different themes/atmospheres I could use her for.
I also learned how to draw indoor backgrounds which is epic
