I designed a friend for my other character, should really pick names for these. Also my characters are not really mermaids butthey look cute in this form

This character is not mine its from an online comic called unfamiliar on https://t.co/VzkIT9fsb8 and it belongs to @HaleyMewsome. I wanted to draw what i first drew on a phone so i can compare it, alot has changed. Do you think i improved? Any critiques/comment is welcome

I watched houseki no kuni (land of the lustrous) and i really liked it so i made my character a gem like in the series. If youre wondering, her gem would be blue yellow tourmaline (: also was trying a new lineartstyle approach. Prob went too crazy on the hair

i made a drawing. i tried different shadings and different set of eyes because i am still deciding what my art style is. i think this might be the winner winner chicken dinner.
