20 years since we first published Louis - Red Letter Day. Louis lives in a dystopian world and dreams of freedom. As he plans his escape, his neigbours plan to kidnap his only friend FC.
In Louis - Red Letter Day, his neighbours Clean and Jerk like to torment him, and one day they leave a sign in his garden that says "You look like a potato"
Louis' only friend is his bird Formulaic Companion, FC for short. He can ask advice from his "Comforter" robot, but only gets nonsensical replies.
20 years ago today since we self-published our "Kafka for kids" graphic novel Louis - Red Letter Day. Louis lives in a world of self-isolation: no one meets or talks to each other (sounds familiar?). Going outside is discouraged, a monitor roams the pathways spraying toxic fumes
Triptych: Portraits of Bluebeard's dead wives.
We chose to paint the wives from diverse backgrounds and different ages to represent the fact that the abuse of women has no borders and is perpetrated the world over. The red tear represent women's suffering. #BluebeardGN
