@ColdestPics_ If you love Vinland Saga and especially marine arts, I can definitely recommend Aivazovski:
"Battle of Cesme at Night" (1848)
"The Ninth Wave" (1857)
"Wave" (1889)
@kalateyya "The Artist's Death" (1901) by Zygmunt Andrychiewicz
But contextually I'd prefer "The Old Guitarist" (1904) by Picasso, depicting his own fate: the old man relies on the guitar for his living, like Picasso relies on his art, but they both live in poverty and despair.
@JkvRivai I can't say what's happening on these panels, so without any context I'll choose paintings just coming of the same vibes:
1 - "The Death of Marat" by Munch (1st painting) or "Saturn Devouring his son" by Goya (2nd)
2 - "The sleep of reason produces monsters" by Goya (3rd)
"Children of the Sea" is arguably the most visually beautiful anime movie I've seen. It also has very unorthodox and messy narration. I dropped it, predominantly because I didn't have enough time, but one day I'll watch it once more https://t.co/NzsIsX2nBF
Then, our whole attention is pinned on the dynamic of the two scenes - parents sitting in front of the TV and a show that is going on in the studio. If these scenes didn't have any connection, built up through characters, they would lose all their charms.
