In Kaneki's torture hallucinations Reze appears to him in the pure light. However, she brings darkness in this bright scene. She is Demian in Sinclair's world, she is Devil living in God. But this God (Kaneki) rejects her. Still, he can't escape her anymore. He must face her.
Tokyo Ghoul's world is similarly being divided on these two components. World of humans is a good world, while ghouls represent evil's world. As in "Demian", we see that main character is being swamped by 'opposite' world through conductors and intermediaries.

Lawyer - Yuji fight was brilliant. Especially, the moment when judgeman opened eyes through threads, rejecting blindness (objectivity), and the moment when lawyer closed his eyes, taking the role of the judge and symbolising "the return to roots" - to non-biased judging
