1/2 The Chozo go to K2L because they need afloraltite to use its energy-producing capabilities in order to finish creating Metroids. Samus's dad denies them and the Chozo leave. Ridley, sniffing around on the Chozo, goes to K2L to pirate, blows it up, orphaning Samus. #metroid

It's unfortunate they put the black gradients on the renders. This is the only (that I know of) official image of a standalone Prime Remastered #Samus that has been released.

@MetroidTheorist I know everyone says "the manga isn't canon" but you can see here that toddler Samus is not looking so good when the Chozo brought her there. DNA infusion could've helped her be able to withstand the gravity, BUT with those numbers, all her bones would've probably been crushed.
