Something I have never seen another human being mention about Doshin the Giant is that the box art is *extremely* evocative of the cover of Shambara's self-titled funk-fusion masterpiece from 1989, to the point that I can only barely believe it's a coincidence.

Many lovely details in New Horizons, but this may be my favorite. The cover of K.K. Jazz was re-worked to (more closely) resemble a Blue Note Records sleeve. Designer Reid Miles did these paneled covers w/ print toned photos primarily in the 60s. Even the iconic logo is mimicked.
