Of course if you paint on paper as it is, the paints will sink in and wither and the outcome won't look as you intended it to, but there's a solution: the cheapest gelatin you can find in your local supermarket, your best friend for every occasion.
I say combination, because to create a perfect thinner you will need:
1. varnish
2. oil
3. pinene or white spirit(or something close to that)
i use dammar varnish, linen oil and some weird petroleum product, because they are the cheapest and i need a lot of those.
IMPORTANT: use only wooden ones!! Metal is extremely uncomfortable and plastic can simply melt because of contact with your materials.
I've seen a lot of people having a hard time understanding oils as a material, so I made this thread. I present to you
🐁a handful of tricks to stop being afraid of oils!!🐁
share this with your favourite struggling traditional artist, maybe i can help them!
dumped those on insta, might as well dump here 👁👄👁
