For the past few years, we’ve been telling stories of how Demacia as a culture has to confront its phobias, and we are watching this fantasy nation grapple with its supposed values of unity in the face of its biases. (*stage whisper voice* IT’S A METAPHOR, Y’ALL) /9

In Demacia, there is a cultural and historically inherited fear and distrust of magic. A mage has magic inside them from birth and cannot change it, and normally must learn to embrace this power- but in Demacia, they must suppress and hide their true selves. /8
