Mashima drew for Gruvia day 2013, Gruvia festival (Japanese event) this past March, and Gruvia day 2018. He drew their family of his own accord at a public panel. We saw on panel Gruvia development in the manga. Gruvia is canon. Gruvia fans are blessed.
